iPhone Repair for Surin Beach — Send the Phone, Not Yourself

Nobody books a villa above Surin in order to spend an afternoon on a plastic chair in a Patong repair shop. Message us the model and the fault, approve a fixed price, and hand the device to whoever is already driving that way. We're 20–30 minutes south — most screens and batteries go back the same day.

The hand-off route, step by step

This is the part most repair shops leave vague, so let's be exact. You do not need to be in the room for a screen or a battery — you need to be in the loop.

1. Message the details

Model, what happened, and a photo of the damage if you can take one on another device. Two minutes on the contact page.

2. Get a fixed price

A real number before anything moves — not "bring it in and we'll see". If we can't quote a fault honestly without seeing it, we say that too.

3. Send it with whoever's going

Villa manager, house staff, your driver, the resort front desk, or a friend heading into Patong. The quote and the updates still come to you, by message.

4. It comes home the same day

Screens run 30–60 minutes on the bench, batteries 20–40. The device is ready long before whoever dropped it off finishes their errands.

What we're not

We're a repair workshop, not a courier company. We don't run a fleet of drivers shuttling up and down the west coast, and we won't pretend otherwise to win a job. What we do is make the hand-off frictionless for someone who is already making the trip — which, in a Surin villa with staff or a driver on call, is almost always true.

What Surin does to phones

Surin's damage profile is distinctive, and it's not the same as the beaches to the south. There is no Bangla Road here. What there is: infinity pools with an edge you can't see, a headland of dark rock at either end of the bay where everyone in Phuket goes to photograph the sunset, and villas floored in polished stone and teak.

The sunset shot is the one we can spot from the crack pattern. A phone fumbled while leaning out over rock doesn't land flat — it lands on a corner, on granite, and a corner-first impact on stone is the most destructive drop an iPhone can take. It shatters the glass and it can unseat the display connector underneath, which is why a phone that "only" looks cracked starts showing vertical lines or a dead touch zone an hour later.

Infinity-pool submersion Sunset drops on the headland rocks Sand packed into the charging port Salt spray on the front-facing camera Batteries swollen by heat Screens cracked on stone villa floors

One important distinction if the phone went in the water: pool water and sea water are not the same emergency. Sea water is the aggressive one — salt crystallises and eats a logic board fast, and the correct first move is counter-intuitive (rinse the exterior with fresh water). Pool water is chlorinated fresh water: slower, but the dissolved minerals still corrode over days. Either way, power it off and do not charge it. The full sequence is on our water damage page.

Before you hand your phone to anyone

This is generic good practice, not a sales pitch — apply it to any repair shop, in any country:

  • Back it up first. Ten minutes on the villa Wi-Fi. A screen swap won't wipe your data, but a backup turns any bad surprise into an inconvenience rather than a loss.
  • Write down the model and the fault. Details get garbled in a three-person chain. Better still, message them to us yourself so nothing depends on being repeated correctly.
  • Decide the passcode question in advance. A screen replacement has to be tested on an unlocked phone — Face ID, front camera, ear speaker, touch. If you're not there, set a temporary passcode before it leaves and change it back when it returns.
  • Never give an Apple ID password. To anyone. No hardware repair requires it, and a shop that asks has told you everything you need to know.
  • Get the price in writing. Ours goes to you by message, in writing, before we open anything.

No villa surcharge, wherever you're staying

You get the quote a Patong walk-in gets. No villa surcharge, no concierge mark-up, no "we saw the address" premium — and nothing is opened until you have approved the number in writing. Say no and the device comes straight back, untouched, with nothing to pay.

Repair Bench time Same-day return?
Screen replacement 30–60 min Yes
Battery replacement 20–40 min Yes
Charging port (sand) 30–60 min Yes
Pool / sea water damage Usually overnight No — needs drying time
Data recovery Case by case No

Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on parts and workmanship, valid wherever in Phuket you're staying. Want the number for your exact model before you involve anyone else? Use the repair estimator.

If you'd rather come in yourself

Perfectly welcome — walk-ins need no appointment, and Surin to Patong is a 20–30 minute run down the coast road. Message ahead anyway: it takes a minute, it confirms the part for your model is on the shelf, and it means the bench is clear when you arrive rather than mid-way through someone else's screen.

Surin & concierge questions

Yes — it's how a lot of Surin repairs happen. Message us yourself first with the model and the fault so the quote and the progress updates come back to you, not to whoever is carrying the device. Anyone can then physically hand it over: a villa manager, house staff, your driver, or a resort front desk. Nothing is opened until you personally approve the fixed price.
Honest answer: we're a repair workshop, not a courier company, and we don't run a fleet of drivers up and down the west coast. What we do is make the hand-off painless for whoever is already travelling to Patong. For a high-value or complex job, message us and we'll tell you plainly what can and can't be arranged rather than promising a service we don't operate.
For a battery, a charging port or back glass, no. For a screen replacement we do need the phone unlocked once at the end, to confirm Face ID, the front camera, the ear speaker and touch response all still work. If you're not there in person, the practical route is to set a temporary passcode before you hand it over and change it back when the phone returns. We never ask for an Apple ID password — and no honest repair shop should.
The quote we send is a fixed price for the fault you described. If something else turns up underneath — a bent frame, a damaged connector, water residue on the board behind an apparently clean crack — work stops and we message you the revised number before going further. You're never billed for a decision you didn't make. That matters more when you're not in the room, which is exactly why we work this way.
Usually yes, if it reaches us quickly and nobody has plugged it in. Power it off and leave it off, dry the outside, don't charge it. Pool water is chlorinated fresh water, so it's less brutal than sea water, but it still corrodes over days. Liquid repairs need an ultrasonic clean and a proper dry, normally stay overnight, and are quoted to you in writing once we've opened the phone and seen the board. Send it the same day — not at the end of the holiday.
Yes. The same hand-off route works for iPads and Samsung Galaxy devices, which helps when a villa has several devices going in at once — a child's cracked iPad and an adult's dying iPhone battery can travel together on one trip. Send the model of each and you'll get a separate fixed quote for each.

Stay by the pool. Send the phone.

Message the model and the fault, get a fixed price back, and let whoever's driving into Patong do the rest.
