What the workshop actually does after a wet phone arrives
The goal is to stop corrosion, learn what still works, and save the parts and data that are still recoverable.
1. Triage and isolation
The device is inspected for active short risk, obvious corrosion, frame damage, and whether the phone has been charged while wet.
2. Cleaning and drying

3. Component testing

Sea vs pool vs rain: not all water is equally bad
All wet phones need urgency, but some environments are much harsher on the electronics than others.
Sea water
Highest urgency. Salt accelerates corrosion fast and can keep damaging the board even after surface drying.
Pool water
Chlorine makes it more aggressive than ordinary rain or fresh water. Still urgent, still not something to leave overnight.
Rain or fresh water
Usually the best recovery odds of the three, but only if the phone is switched off and treated quickly.
